Obituary of L. Jeanne Burt

Lillian Jeanne ( Schwelm) Burt, age 78,entered into eternal life suddenly on Aug. 25,2012. Jeanne was born in Boston, and lived in Nahant for many years before moving to Weymouth in 1984. Mrs. Burt was an administrator for the Johnson Elementary School in Nahant for 17 years. She loved the interaction with all the children and was proud to know every students first and last name. After retiring from the school, Mrs. Burt worked at the McDonalds restaurant in North Weymouth where she made many dear friends. Jeanne spent many happy years vacationing on the family boat in Marthas Vineyard. She was the beloved and inseparable wife for 58 years to George F. Burt. Devoted mother of Jidge Burt of Weymouth, Alice Byard and her husband Joe of Billerica and Richard Burt of Peabody. Beloved sister of the late Betty Jorkjend, John , Fred, and Robert Schwelm. Loving grandmother of Matthew, Justin, John Michael, Tash, Andrew and Sarah. Great-grandmother to Olympia and Sarah. Aunt of Rita Koeppel , Pat Connor, Fred Schwelm and several other nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be at the Pilgrim Congregational Church, 24 Athens St., North Weymouth on Saturday, Sept. 8 at 5 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
