Obituary of Joseph-Louis DI-Fruscia

DI FRUSCIA, Joseph Louis - 1932-2008 C'est avec une grande tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de Joseph Louis Di Fruscia survenu le 26 juin 2008, entouré de sa famille suite à un courageux combat contre le cancer. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse Jeannette Bourbonnière, sa fille Kim, ses frères Tony(Eileen), Steve(Luce) et Michael (son grand ami Luigi), ses neveux David, Dean(Mary), Derek et Nicholas. Mari dévoué et père aimant, Joseph Louis était toujours attentionné pour ses amis, ses voisins et ses amis les animaux. Retraité des chemins de fer Canadien Pacifique, où il a connu une carrière fructueuse, Louis a occupé ses loisirs en jardinant et en passant du temps avec ses amis; aussi il aimait bien promener son chien Sasha. Homme honorable et généreux, il ne trouvait que du positif chez les gens qu'il côtoyait, son esprit positif s'est reflété tout au long de sa maladie. Il demeurera pour nous tous une inspiration de tous les instants. He fought a courageous battle with cancer. He leaves to mourn his wife Jeannette Bourbonniere, daughter Kim, brothers Tony (Eileen), Steve (Luce) and Michael (good friend Luigi); nephews David, Dean (Mary) and Derek and Nicholas. A devoted husband and loving father, he was always caring and attentive to his friends, neighbours and pets. After a successful career with Canadian Pacific Railway, he enjoyed his retirement gardening, taking walks with his beloved dog Sasha and spending time with friends. Louis was an honorable man who always saw the best in everybody with his generous heart and positive approach to life, even during his illness. Louis is an inspiration to all. The family will receive condolences at 1255 Beaumont, T.M.R. between l'Acadie and Rockland Thursday, July 3, 2008, from 5 to 9 p.m. Funeral service to be held at Our Lady of the Annunciation Parish, 1020 Laird Blvd / Moyle, T.M.R., on Friday July 4, 2008 at 10 a.m. Special thanks to the devoted staff of the Palliative Care Unit of the Jewish General Hospital and the volunteers of Hope and Cope for their compassion and care.
