PPCLI, Korean War Veteran, Royal Canadian Legion Br #593 and K of C #1173 St. Patrick's Council Member Peacefully in hospital Saturday, August 16, 2003. John Deming Noonan age 71. Beloved husband of 51 years to Dolores Hamelin. Son of the late Sephronia McCann and John Vincent Noonan. Cherished father of Steve (Ann Marie) and Timothy. Loving grandfather of Alicia, Darcy, Olivia, Danny and Garrett. Special Poppa to Kaeli. Dear brother of Joan (Ronald Brousseau) of Westport and Richard "Dick" (Joyce) of Waterloo. Fondly remembered by Rosemary Wilson, sister-in-law Shirley (Jerry Arlow) of Edmonton; many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the Queensway-Carleton and Palliative Care Outreach staff. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, 580 Eagleson Road, Kanata, Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Knights of Columbus to assemble for Service Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. A Legion Service will be held at the funeral home Wednesday at 7 p.m. Funeral Thursday to St. Patrick's Church, Fallowfield for Mass of Christian Funeral at 11 a.m. donations to the Msgr. Paul Baxter Memorial Centre, Fallowfield or the Palliative Care Outreach Program appreciated. John was an athlete, soldier, husband, father, grandfather and we loved him.
