Obituary of John J. Noonan


NOONAN, John Joseph -- Suddenly at his home in Leominster, Mass. (formerly of Peterborough, Ontario) on Saturday, Dec. 13. Beloved husband of the late A. Arlene Noonan (1980). Survived by daughters Patricia Cooney (Jim) of Ancaster, Ontario and Janet Laubenstein (Jim) of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Cherished grandpa to Matt and Bryce Laubenstein; Erin Coleman (Ryan) and Meredith Cooney. Devoted companion to Teresa Wilbur of Leominster, Mass. Lovingly remembered by sister Molly Falcon (late Terry), brothers, Philip Noonan (Jeanne) and Patrick Noonan (Doris). Born in Kelowna, British Columbia, he was the son of Philip and Donalda Noonan. Jack was a Lancaster Bomber pilot with the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II. He earned a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering from the University of British Columbia and was employed by General Electric for 35 years before retiring in 1986. Services at Nesbett Funeral Home, 600 Monaghan Road, Peterborough, Ontario, Canada on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2003. Calling hours: noon. Service: 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
