Obituary of John-Edward Laforest

LaForest John Edward (Jack) -- Davison, Michigan-- Mr. LaForest, age 65 years, passed through transition on Saturday, June 4, 2005 at his residence. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 12:00 noon Thursday, June 9, 2005 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 Dayton St, Davison. Deacon Neil Huiskens officiating. Honoring John's wishes, cremation has taken place with private burial at Sunset Hills. Those desiring may make contributions in Jack's name to St. John Church Building Fund. John was born in Bay City, Michigan February 10, 1940, the son of Arthur & Beatrice (Berthume) LaForest and had resided in the Davison area since 2003 spending most of his life in the Flint, Burton area. He was a member of Davison American Legion Post 267. John answered the call of his country serving in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Coast Guard during the Vietnam War. Mr. LaForest owned and operated J.L. Photo Company of Davison, and Heritage Studios of Flint. Surviving are sons: Scott LaForest & Leigh Madarasz of Davison, David J. LaForest of Flint, Kevin LaForest & Cathy Johnson of Burton; 6 grandchildren; brothers, Wilfred LaForest of Fla, and Robert LaForest of Ca; special friend, Barbara Hall of Burton and many other relatives.
