Obituary of Jeannette Raymond


WATERVILLE -- Jeannette "Jeannie" G. (Raymond) Rancourt, 75, passed away on Friday, Dec. 31, 2004, at Redington-Fairview General Hospital in Skowhegan after a short illness.She was born in Howland on Oct. 7, 1929, the daughter of Joseph and Laura (Gagnon) Raymond. She was a graduate of Gilford High School.She was owner of Pizza by Norm in Waterville for many years. She was a communicant of Notre Dame Catholic Church and a member of the Daughters of Isabella for many years.She was predeceased by her son, James Rancourt; her parents; her brother, Wally Raymond; and her sister, Joanne Cooley.She is survived by her daughter, Theresa Glidden; her two grandchildren, Tiffany and Tony Glidden; one great-grandchild, Kali Lozada; three brothers and their wives, Wilfred "Babe" and Mary, William, Earnest and Pat, and Camille and Mary; two sisters and their husbands, Antoinette "Tony" and John Lesser and Dorothy "Dottie" and Robert Dean; several nieces and nephews; and two very special friends, Stella Labbe and Betty Rancourt.Visiting hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, at Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm St., Waterville. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 112 Silver St., Waterville. Committal prayers will be recited at church and burial will follow in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, Grove Street, Waterville.Friends may sign a register book and send condolences to http://www.gallantfh.com.
