Obituary of Jean-Jacques-Edgar Alain


ALAIN, J.J. EDGAR The passing of Jean Jacques Edgar Alain occurred at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, on Wednesday, March11th, 2008. He was 85. Born in Bathurst, NB, he was the son of the late Aurele and Regina (Leger) Alain. He was a dentist by profession; member of the Royal Canadian Legion, a World War Two Veteran, and an avid radio controlled plane enthusiast. Survived by his children Lise of Quebec, Bernadette of Truro, Jacqueline (Bruce MacIntosh) of Lincoln, Paul of Fredericton and Aurele (Sheila) of Ottawa; grandchildren Amy and Adam Elliott, Philippe-Andre Lafrance, Kinnon and Shea MacIntosh, Ashley and Shannon Alain; one sister Jacqueline Neville; and a brother Edmond Alain; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife Marthe Boudreau, daughter Jocelyne Alain; grandson Matthew Alain; brothers Yvon and Maurice Alain; sister Paulette Fougere. Resting at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, on Thursday March 13th from 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held from Ste-Anne-des-Pays-Bas on Friday March 14th at 11:00 AM with Father Donald Savoie officiating. Interment will be held in Bathurst at a later date. Memorial contributions to the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
