Obituary of Jean-Marie Normand


NORMAND Jean-Marie Memorial Service 10 :00 am Tuesday, July 11, 2000 Glen Lawn Funeral Home 455 Lagimodiere Boulevard Peacefully, after a prolonged illness on Thursday, July 6, 2000, Jean Normand passed away with his family by his side. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Margurite and his brother Marcel. He will be sadly missed by his wife of nearly 45 years, Florence, his daughters Gisele (Marcel) Lavigne, and Rita (Luc) Vandal, grandchildren Mary Lavigne and Cory and Ryan Vandal, his two brothers Roland and Rudolphe; five sisters, Reine-Aimée Lupky (Alex), Bibiane Normand, Priscilla Normand (George), Diane Zaparnuiak (Len) and Cecilia Hermary (Richard), and many nieces and nephews. Jean was employed with Stanchem as shipper/receiver for 24 years, retiring in 1990. The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses whom cared for him through his time of need. A memorial service will be held at 10 :00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 11th at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Boulevard (across from the Mint). Father Marcel Toupin officiating. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Lawn Reception Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301-352 Donald Street, Winnipeg R3B 2H8 or to the Canadian Diabetes Association (Manitoba Division), 102-310 Broadway Avenue, Winnipeg R3C 0S6.
