Obituary of Jane-Esther St. -Amand


LONGMEADOW - Jane Esther (St. Amand) Letourneau, 81, of 280 Converse St. in Longmeadow, passed away on Sunday June 19th at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Chicopee, she lived most of her life in Springfield. She worked for both Mckesson Drug in Springfield and for Monsanto. She was a graduate of the High School of Commerce, class of 1941, and was a volunteer for the Red Cross Blood Mobile. She was predeceased by her husband in 1995, John M. Letourneau, a sister in 2000, Claire Jordan and a brother in 2002, Paul St. Amand. She is survived by her three sons, John M. and his wife Joan of Houston, TX, Paul A. and his wife Kathleen of Salado, TX, and Daniel M. and his wife Debra of Greensboro, NC; two daughters, Elaine L. English of Belchertown and Joan L. and her husband Abdul Elamrani of Las Vegas, NV; a sister Jeannette and her husband Leslie of Westfield; eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to an hour of visitation on Thursday June 23rd from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. in the Hafey Springfield Chapels, 494 Belmont Ave., followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph Church in Springfield. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
