James Joseph Barbier, of Gretna, LA, on Tuesday, June 21, 2005 at 12:30 o'clock a.m. Beloved husband of the late Molly Montecino Barbier. Father of James J. Barbier, Jr. Son of the late Laure Delaune and Leonie J. Barbier. Brother of Lelia B. Waguespack, Elmire B. Boudreaux and the late Charles Barbier. Father-in-law of Rhonda Blanchard Barbier. Grandfather of Blair M. Barbier. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Age 82 years. A native of Napoleonville, LA and a resident of Gretna, LA for the past 53 years. Relatives and friends of the family; also officers and members of American Legion Post 64 are invited to attend Funeral Services at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Thursday, June 23, 2005 at 1:30 o'clock p.m. A Funeral Mass will be at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Gretna, LA at 1:45 p.m. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park.
