SOUTH NATICK James J. Galvin of South Natick and Moultonboro, N.H., formerly of Waban, died Sunday, March 9, 2008. He was 51, born in Somerville, and died at Massachusetts General Hospital. He had lived in Natick for the past 16 years and was founder and president of James J. Galvin Electrical Contracting Corp. of Newton. He was a graduate of Newton South High School, Class of 1975, and Wentworth Institute in Boston. He enjoyed his time on Lake Winnipesaukee with his family and friends. He was a former youth hockey coach for the Natick Comets. He was the beloved husband of Margaret P. "Peg" (Shaughnessy) Galvin for 24 years; father of Timothy J., Sean F. and Katelyn M. Galvin, all of Natick; son of Richard and Noreen (Foley) Galvin of Waban; brother of Kathleen M. Armando of Canton, Richard Galvin of Georgia, Michael F. Galvin of Woburn, and Patricia A. Crane of Billerica; son-in-law of Margaret M. Shaughnessy of Waban and the late John F. Shaughnessy; and is survived by many nieces and nephews. The funeral will take place Friday, March 14, at 9 a.m., from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St., Wellesley, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m., at St. Patrick Church, Natick. Visiting hours are Thursday, March 13, from 4 to 8 p.m. Internment is in Newton Cemetery.
