Obituary of Henry Regan


Henry Francis Regan, 82, of Wareham, formerly of Maynard, Falmouth and Nantucket died Dec. 12, 2010. He worked for many years in education retiring after 20 years with the Bedford School System. Mr. Regan graduated Boston English High School and Boston University. He was a WWII and Korean War Veteran serving in the Navy. He was a member of the Maynard Board of Health, Lions Club, Knights of Columbus and Am Vets. Survivors include his longtime companion, Carol A. Tavares of West Wareham; four children, Kenneth Michael and his wife Kim of Snellville, Ga., Debra Cleveland and her husband Lee of Framingham, Barbara Nelson and her husband William of Stow and Sandra Regan and her friend Stephen Quinn of Ayer; his grandchildren, Daniel, John, Shannon, Caitlin, Ian, and Conrad; a great-granddaughter, Maya; his former wife, Ruth Regan of Maynard; and many friends and relatives in Ireland and the United States. He was predeceased by a grandson, Sean and a brother Leo. His Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 17, 2010 in St. Patricks Church, 82 High St., Wareham. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Donations in his memory may be made to the Sol Amor Hospice, 123 Waterhouse Road, Suite 5, Bourne, MA 02532.
