Obituary of Helene-B. Tessier

MARLBOROUGH— Sr. Helene B. Tessier, a Sister of St. Anne, known in religion as Sister Marie Emelie, died at the age of 101 at Marie Esther Health Center in Marlborough on July 28th. She was in the 79th year of religious life. She was the daughter of Orphir and Emelie (Moritz) Tessier of Holyoke, Massachusetts. Sister is predeceased by her brother Edmund and sister Alma. She is survived by her niece, Mrs. Anne-Marie Rancourt of Interlachen, FL; her nephews, Shawn Barry of East Longmeadow, MA; Leonard Tessier of Holyoke, MA; as well as many grand-nephews and grand-nieces. Calling hours will be held Sunday, July 31, at St. Anne Convent, 720 Boston Post Road, Marlborough, from 2 to 4, with a prayer service at 4 p.m. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Monday, August 1, at St. Anne Convent, Marlborough, with burial in Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Marlborough. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home, 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Marie Esther Health Center.
