Obituary of Helen M. Kirby

Helen M. (Long) Kirby, 87, of Halifax, formerly of Norwell, passed away November 16, 2014. Born in Boston, February 28, 1927, she was the daughter of the late John and Emma (Johnson) Long. Raised and educated in Boston, Helen was employed as a kitchen manager for the South Shore Voc-Tech High School. Helen was the beloved wife of the late Ernest J. Kirby; devoted mother of Eric E. Kirby of Calif., David R. Kirby of Quincy, Wayne S. Kirby of Hanover, and Gail L. Henrickson of Hull; dear sister of Lorraine Duty of Bridgewater and the late Buddy Long; cherished grandmother of 9; and great-grandmother of 2.
