Obituary of Gilbert Noiseux

Gilbert Noiseux Jan 19, 1931 - June 18, 2016 It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of Gilbert Noiseux on June 18th, 2016, at the age of 85, his daughters by his side.Devoted husband of Pauline (deceased), father of Lise and Monique (Peter Wyslouzil).Grandfather of Denis Lange(Bailey Blatz), Christine Lange (Mike Ballard), Maxine Wyslouzil and Stefan Wyslouzil.Great-grandfather of Xander, Caleb and Naeco.Born January 19, 1931 in Montreal, Gilbert began his career with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police at the young age of 18, rising through the ranks and ending his 35-year service as Assistant Commissioner. His retirement years were spent visiting and entertaining family and friends, annual fishing trips, wintering in Mexico and getting into trouble with his "home-improvement" projects! Our sincerest thanks go to all the staff at the Alta Vista Manor for the compassion they gave to Gilbert while he was in their care. We will also remain forever indebted to Christina for the year she spent looking after him here in Ottawa, and to Laura and Martha for their invaluable patience and loving care, ensuring that he was still able to enjoy his "second-home" in Puerto Escondido, Mexico. They will always be a part of our family and we love them dearly. As per his wishes, there will be no formal ceremony, but we know he would love for everyone who knew him to raise a glass (of Scotch, preferably) to say good-bye and help speed him on his journey to join his beloved Pauline.
