Obituary of Geraldine E. Cleary

Geraldine E. (Nolan) Cleary of Needham and Harwich, passed away peacefully after a long illness on December 5th, 2014. Beloved wife of 60 years to Charles F. Cleary, Jr. Devoted mother of Charles F. Cleary III and his wife Carrie of Hawthorn Woods, IL, Jeremiah Cleary of NYC, and Ellen Cleary and her husband Sal Graceffa of Arlington. Also survived by 5 grandchildren, Caitlyn, Nolan, Bryan, Olivia and Isabella, and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Cleary was a graduate of Cambridge Latin High School and Emmanuel College. She earned her PhD in education later in life. Gere taught elementary education for over 35 years in the Needham School system. She loved teaching and all of her students. Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 1305 Highland Ave., NEEDHAM, Tuesday Dec. 9th at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Bartholomew's Church, Needham, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Monday Dec. 8th from 4 to 8. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Needham.
