Geraldine M. (Crofwell) Kelley, 72, of East Bridgewater, died Monday, March 3, at McCarthy Care Center, Sandwich, after a lengthy battle with ovarian cancer. Born in Boston, in 1941, the daughter of the late Gerard and Margaret (Dempsey) Crofwell, she graduated from Mission Church High School, Boston, in 1959, and worked for over 30 years for the Foxboro Co., East Bridgewater. She enjoyed playing cards and traveling with friends, volunteering at Calvary Chapel in Rockland, reading and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Gerry was the widow of Joseph F. Kelley; and sister to the late James Crofwell, Barbara Crofwell and Clare Crofwell. Gerry is survived by 2 brothers, William Crofwell and wife Linda of Milton and Richard Crofwell of Quincy; 3 children, Joseph Kelley and wife Jennifer of West Bridgewater, Susan Ponte and husband Raymond of East Bridgewater and Richard Kelley; 5 grandchildren, Anthony Ponte, husband to Amy Griswold, Kelly Ponte, Kayla Somers, Shannon Kelley and Erin Kelley; and 3 great-grandchildren, Dylan, Jeremy and Brayden. A memorial service was held Sunday, March 9, at 2:30 p.m., at Calvary Chapel of Boston, 175 Market St. (Rte. 123), Rockland. A reception followed at MeadowBrook Restaurant, 1486 Main Street (Rte. 27), Hanson. Donations can be made to McCarthy Care Center, 73 Service Rd., Sandwich, MA 02563.
