Obituary of Gerald-James Adams


OBITUARY GERALD JAMES (GERRY) ADAMS Born in Montreal on October 27, 1934. Passed away after a brief illness in St. John's, Newfoundland on October 17, 2007. Gerry was predeceased by his wife Helga Brammann in 1983 and by his parents Tillie McClelland (David) and Bruce Adams (Edna). Leaving to mourn are his children Dr. Russell Adams (Dr. Michele Mercer) of St John's Newfoundland, Darlene (Ron Balzer) of New York, and Cindy of Montreal. Gerry was the proud and loving grandfather of Amy, Margot, Jagger and Breck. Gerry was a long time employee of the Bank of Montreal (main office, Place d'Armes) and a resident of Crawford Park, Verdun. He was a long time member of the Verdun Friendly Bowling League, the Canadian Legion and a variety of other service organizations. In 2006, after 40 some odd years of living in Crawford Park, Gerry uprooted and moved to St John's Newfoundland, where this good natured and very friendly man made many new friends and enjoyed a happy life. He was a truly loving, caring, patient, and gentle soul. He will be greatly missed by all. Published in the Montreal Gazette on 11/10/2007
