Obituary of George-William Brennan

BRENNAN, GEORGE WILLIAM Mr. George William Brennan, husband of Florence Brennan of Doaktown, NB, passed away Sunday morning at Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 74. Born in Blissfield, NB he was the son of the late Leo and Gladys (Vickers) Brennan. He was retired from the Dept. of Transportation. He was a member of Our Lady of Annunciation Roman Catholic Church, Doaktown, NB. He was a life member of Knights of Columbus, Council 6404, member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch #23 and was very active in community affairs. Besides his wife Florence, he is survived by two daughters, Clara (Stephen Corbett) of New Market, NB; Barbara Ann (Gerard Flowers) of Fredericton; two sons, Ronald (Cathy) of Edmonton, Alberta; Martin George at home; one sister, Mrs. Janet Colford of Blissfield; four brothers, Murray Brennan of Edmonton, Alberta; LeRoy Brennan of Sussex; Thomas Brennan (Lillian) of Blackville; Edward Brennan (Diane) of Blissfield; special brother Peter Sutherland (Patsy) of Naskwaak; sister-in-law, Mary Brennan of Barkers Point; 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by three sisters, Vida, Dorothy and Mary; two brothers, Dan and Joe; sisters-in-law, Sheila and Nina. Mr. George W. Brennan is resting at Davidson's Funeral Home, 579 Main Street, Doaktown, with visitation on Monday evening from 7 to 9 and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 20, at 11 am from Our Lady of Annunciation Roman Catholic Church, Doaktown, with Father Mark Trzop officiating.
