Obituary of George-Albert Dick

George A. Dick 1936-2014 Black River Bridge, NB - George Albert Dick, husband of Dorothy R. (MacDonald) Dick, of the North Black River Road passed away on arrival at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Sunday, June 8, 2014, at the age of 77. Born in Center Napan on August 17, 1936, he was the son of the late George A. and Margaret A. (Hay) Dick. He was a former truck driver as well as a long time caretaker and trusted friend (over 35 years) at the farm of Dr. Hans & Mrs. Marianne Webber, of Black River Bridge. He was an adherent of St. Stephen's United Church, Black River Bridge. He is survived by his wife, the former Dorothy A. MacDonald; eight daughters, Patricia Martin (Felecien), of Miramichi, Ruth Walsh (Everett), of Black River Bridge, Deborah MacDonald, of Little Branch Rd., Cheryl Russell (Weldon), of Black River Bridge, Barbara MacDonald (Mike), of Napan, Joyce Holland (Joey), of Black River Bridge, Christina Hamlyn (Greg), of Black River Bridge, Charlene Dick, of Black River Bridge; two sons, Alexander (Sandy) Dick (Nicole), of Napan and George Dick Jr., of Black River Bridge; three sisters, Barbara Thompson, of Napan, Margaret Delano, of Miramichi and Janet (Jennie) Jardine, of Napan; three brothers, Stuart Dick (Geraldine), of Napan, Howard Dick (Daisy), of Fairview, AB and John Dick (Irene), of Napan; twelve grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one grandson, Bradley Russell; one son in law, Sandy Brian MacDonald; one brother, John Dick; three brothers in law, Neil, Howard and James. By request there will be no public visitation or funeral service. A private family service will be held at a later date.
