Obituary of George-Louis Lefevre


LEFEVRE George Louis 1925-2003 George Louis Lefevre, beloved husband and friend of Marjorie Lefevre, passed away at the Agape Manor Hospice on Thursday, February 27, 2003 at the age of 77 years. George was born November 26, 1925 at the General Hospital in Edmonton, AB. He was employed by Barber Machinery for forty-three years where he worked as a welder, fitter and foreman. He also spent a brief time in the Canadian Army near the end of World War II. He was active in the Scout movement where he was a cub master at Windsor Park, and in the Visually Impaired Society. George and Marjorie celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary in November 2001. After his retirement, George was kept busy in his garage welding security bars and fixing anything that was in need of repair. He loved to dance and was the first one on the floor and last off. George loved to travel and took many exciting trips with Marjorie over the years. George lived for his family and was the loving father of Jim (Merle), Jeanne (Laurence), Dave, Stan (Kathleen), Laurie (Mike); and loving grandfather to Christy and Daniel Seton, Jason and Shannon Lefevre, Monique and Chantal Pinette. He is also survived by a sister Bella Gallup of Pekisko Creek, AB; numerous nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Catherine Hawkey, Mary Underschultz, and Donna Hawkey; brothers-in-law, Clarence and Francis Hawkey, Norman Underschultz, and Clifford Hawkey. He was predeceased by two infant sisters, his parents, and brothers, Eugene and Henry. Memorial Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S "Park Memorial Chapel" (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.), on Monday, March 3, 2003, at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. William A.
