George L. Wallace passed away peacefully in the company of his loving family Sunday, Sept. 22. A dedicated family man, he was a lifelong Quincy resident, a graduate of Quincy High School, a Vietnam Marine Corps veteran and a retired employee of the U.S. Post Office at South Postal Annex. The beloved husband of Mary Ann (Sacchetti) of Quincy, and devoted son of Madelyn (Quinn) of Quincy and the late George L. Wallace Sr., he is also survived by his devoted daughters, Linda Tierney and her husband Mark of Hopkinton and Michelle L. Wallace of Quincy; his cherished grandchildren, Jeffrey George and Gregory Patrick Tierney; his sisters, Christine Metz and Carole Tyrrell, both of N.H., and Bobbie Nardone and Jennifer McGillicuddy, both of Quincy; and many loving nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Jeffrey B. Wallace.A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church, Quincy, Thursday morning at 10. Visiting hours will be held at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., Milton, Wednesday 4 to 8 p.m. Interment in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
