Obituary of Frederick-Louis Allain


ALLAIN, FREDERICK LOUIS A resident and native of Plaquemine, he died Sunday afternoon, Nov. 20, 2005, at his home. He was 83 and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II. Visiting at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Plaquemine, from 9 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Cleo Milano. Interment in Grace Memorial Park. He is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda and Frank Stagno of Lafayette, Marsha and Adrian Dupont of Plaquemine and Tanya and Ken Joyner of Byhalia, Miss.; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Fred L. Jr. and Judy Allain of Baton Rouge and Mark Allain of Plaquemine; two sisters, Roberta Bives of Denham Springs and Cora Lee Martin of False River; and 11 grandchildren, Kye and wife Kristen Allain, Blair Allain, Lauren and Callie Stagno, Alaina, Caroline, Jude and Mark Dupont, Hannah and Chad Joyner and Haley Allain. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Cora Allain; sisters, Ethel Allain, Linda Mae Schexnaildre, Bernardine Allain and Gracie Mire; and brothers, J.B. Allain and George Allain. Pallbearers will be Fred Allain Jr., Mark Allain, Adrian Dupont, Ken Joyner and Frank Stagno. He was a member of the American Legion, a life member of Louisiana State Fireman's Association and St. John Fathers Club. Special thanks to the nurses and aides of St. Joseph's Hospice and all of the caregivers for the wonderful care of our father. Published in The Advocate on 11/22/2005.
