Obituary of Francesco Reda

REDA, Francesco (Frank) November 9, 1927 - July 25, 2015 It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Frank Reda, who died peacefully in his sleep. Frank is survived by his loving wife, Evelina; sons, Louie (Pat), Claudio (Shirley), Joe (Rose); 8 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter; his brother, Ralph (Flora) in Toronto and numerous nieces and nephews. Frank was born in Carolei, Italy. He immigrated to Canada in 1952. His wife, Evelina and first son arrived in Halifax on December 19, 1953. The family planted their roots in Victoria, BC. The family grew and Frank made many friends and memories. In 1952, he started working at Loonie Bros. as a labourer. He then joined Farmer Construction from 1960 - 1980 as a cement finisher. In 1980, Frank started working at the City of Victoria and retired in 1992. He enjoyed his garden, his fig trees, his family and spending time with his friends. The family would like to thank Aberdeen Hospital Staff for their care and support. Prayers will be offered in McCall Bros. Floral Chapel, Johnson & Vancouver Streets at 7:00 pm on Thursday, July 30, 2015. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Cross Church, 4049 Gordon Head Road at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 31, 2015 with entombment to follow at Royal Oak Burial Park.
