Florence M. (Stacey) Regan, age 92, of Braintree, died peacefully, Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at the home of her son, William, in Waltham, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in New Haven, CT, raised and educated there and was a graduate of Commercial High School and Stones Business School. She has lived in Braintree for fifty years. As a young woman, she worked as a secretary for the Marlin Fire Arms Company and the Illustrated Current News in New Haven, CT. Later, Florence was employed as a sales associate with the Sears, Roebuck and Company for over forty years. She worked at the former Quincy Center location and later at the South Shore Plaza store in Braintree and has been retired for ten years. She enjoyed dancing, reading, crossword puzzles, knitting, bingo and playing cards. She also enjoyed trips to Foxwoods, lunch with her friends; but most of all she loved being with her family. She was pre-deceased by her husband, William R. Regan, her brother, John R. Jack Stacey and her daughter-in-law, Diane (Manning) Regan. Devoted mother of Ronald R. Regan and his fiance Patricia Hegarty of Middleboro , Pamela M. Irwin Poleo and her husband Anthony of Beverly, William R. Regan, Jr. and his wife MaryCarol of Waltham. Loving grandmother of Stacey Downey and her husband Brendan of Brookline, Kenneth Irwin, Jr. and his fiance Chrissy Civiletto of Cambridge, Christopher Regan and his wife Karen of Norton, Colin Regan and his wife Angie of AZ, Kimberley Johnson and her husband Christopher of Boston, William Bud Regan III and Scott Regan both of Waltham, Amy Peck and her husband David of Oxford. Cherished great-grandmother of Liam and Aine Downey, Sarah and Patrick Regan, Michael and Matthew Peck, Cassidy Regan and Isla Johnson. Dear daughter of the late Clarence and Florence (Sullivan) Stacey. Sister-in-law of Helen Stacey of Wallingford, CT, Virginia Angus of Cheshire, CT and Noreen Regan of North Haven, CT. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, Saturday, May 18th at 8 a.m. Funeral Mass in Saint Thomas More Church, corner of Hawthorne Road and Elm Street, Braintree at 9 oclock. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the funeral home Friday 5 | 8 p.m. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
