Obituary of Evelyn Galvin

Evelyn Galvin 1921 - 2013 LUDLOW - Evelyn (Myette) Galvin, 92, of Ludlow was called home to be with God on Monday September 30, 2013. Born in the Indian Orchard section of Springfield to the late Andrew and Hilda (Garrand) Myette, she was a long time Ludlow resident and faithful communicant of St. Elizabeth Parish. Evelyn was the beloved wife of the late John Galvin who predeceased her in 2000. She leaves her loving sons; John Galvin and his fiance Sandra Lavariere of Ludlow and James Galvin of Nevada and the late Andrew Galvin who passed away in 1971; Evelyn was the cherished grandmother to Jolene Galvin of Arizona and Jennifer Galvin of Easthampton; she will also be missed by her many caring nieces, nephews, extended family throughout the community as well as her former daughter-in-law Sue Galvin of Ludlow. Sadly she was predeceased by her brothers and sisters; Roy Myette, Carl Myette, Iva Londraville and Helen Campofredano. Funeral services celebrating Evelyn's life will be held on Friday October 4, 2013. Family and friends are asked to gather for a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Elizabeth Parish followed by burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery.
