Obituary of Eugene R. Andrews

Eugene R. Andrews of Pembroke died peacefully after a lengthy illness on February 17, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his wife of 63 years Roberta J. ( Clarke) Andrews, two sons and their wives John and Judith Andrews of Weymouth and Bruce and Barbara Andrews of Bridgewater. Six grandchildren Bonnie Andrews and her husband Joseph Wilkins, Laura Andrews and her fiance Paul Coverdale, Jennifer Andrews and her fiance Sean Gavin, Jacqueline and her husband Chris Santos, Kimberly Andrews, and Emily Andrews, one great-grandchild Victoria, his brother Ralph Andrews of Tewksbury and many nieces and nephews. Gene loved the hardware store business and began his career at the age of 19. He started his career at the Hoyt company in Dorchester, and then Warrens Hardware in Braintree, and then the Hardware Center in Holbrook. He retired and became an avid camper. He enjoyed traveling with his wife in their motor home. They spent many winters in Florida as well as traveling around the country.
