Obituary of Elsie-Mae Jennings


JENNINGS, Elsie Mae - Peacefully at the St. Joseph's Lifecare Centre, on Saturday, October 11th, 2008, in her 86th year. Beloved wife, for over 61 years, to the late Jack Jennings (2002). Caring, loving mother of Judith Belcher, of Keswick, Eric and Wendy, of Brantford, and Paula and Michael Aldersey, of Port McNeill, British Columbia. Lovingly remembered by her 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Fondly remembered by Dick Belcher and her dear friend Brenda Aldersey. Predeceased by her sisters Dorothy, Jacqueline and Gladys. Elsie was a former president of the Home and School Association of Fairview School, a Girl Guide Leader and a member of the Trefoil Guild, and a chartered member of St. Mark's Anglican Church and active in the Ladies Guild. Elsie worked for the Brantford Expositor, for over 17 years. Family and friends will be received at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, on Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. A service of remembrance will take place at St. Mark's Anglican Church, 155 Memorial Drive, on Thursday, October 16th, 2008 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
