Obituary of Elizabeth-Gertrude Dawson

Having recently celebrated her 90th birthday in Toronto, on March 30, 2002, Elizabeth Gertrude Dawson was peacefully lifted into the hands of her Lord on the evening of Tuesday, August 6, 2002. Cherished mother and strength to Gilbert and his wife Sonia of Toronto; Gloria and her husband, the late Roly Waterhouse of Ottawa; Glenda and her husband Stuart Douglas of Muskoka; Gale and her husband Dan Tesarski of Calgary and Gregory and his wife Susan of Calgary. A dear Grandma who bestowed love and inspiration upon 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Loving sister to Martha Hunt of Edmonton and her predeceased brothers John and Edward Dawson. Survived by her sisters-in-law Helen Dawson, Annette Dawson and Iris Vickers. Predeceased by her parents Eddie and Bessie Dawson and her beloved grandson Gordie Johnson of Thunder Bay. Friends may call at the Westboro Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 403 Richmond Road (at Roosevelt Avenue) on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment Pinecrest Cemetery.
