Obituary of Elena DI-Cioccio

Elena Passalacqua November 24, 1931 - May 24, 2005 On May 23, 2005, in her 74th year, surrounded by her loving family, Elena was reunited with her parents, the late Giovanni and Maria Di Cioccio. Daughter-in-law of the late Guiseppina Patrala and the late Nicola Passalacqua. Beloved wife to Remigio for 47 years. Loving mother to Joe and Agnes Passalacqua, Gilda and Andy D'Amico, Nick and Dawn Passalacqua, Maria and Rob Major, Maura and Dwayne Handley. Adored Nonna to Nicholas, Andrew, Marcus, Justin, Jordan, Caprice, Taylor and Tyler. Dear sister to Assunta and the late Edoardo, Quintino and Lidia, the late Cesidio and Ornella. Dear sister-in-law of Andrea and Micheline Passalacqua, Gino Passalacqua, Rosa and Rocco D'Angelo, Vincenzo and Maria Passalacqua. Also missing Elena will be Frank and Maria Antonucci, her many nieces and nephews, the late Johnny Di Cioccio, Nadia and Enzo Sr., Tiziana and Frank, Vittoria, Mario, Diana and Bobby and Lisa and Peter, Maria and Sabastian. Family and friends will be received at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton Street East (near James) on Wednesday, May 25th and Thursday, May 26th from 6-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers will be held on Thursday at 8:15 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial to take place at St. Anthony's Church, 165 Prospect Street, on Friday, May 27th at 11:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Donations to the Juravinski Cancer Centre would be appreciated. A special thank you to Dr. Hirte and his staff and all the nurses on Ward 395 of Henderson Hospital.
