Obituary of Duncan-James Macdonnell

Duncan James MacDonnell VANCOUVER, BC - Duncan James MacDonnell, 47, passed away suddenly Wednesday, January 29, 2003 in Vancouver, BC. Born in New Glasgow, NS, he was the son of Claire (Chisholm) MacDonnell and the late Honourable Hugh J. MacDonnell. Duncan was a graduate of Queen's University and Mount Saint Vincent University. He lived in Vancouver for the past 15 years and leaves behind many friends in British Columbia, Nova Scotia and elsewhere. Besides his mother, he is survived by sisters, Theresa Hannaford, Janice (Algis) Grajauskis, Calgary, AB, Joan MacDonnell (Steve Dunsiger), New Glasgow, NS, Mary Claire MacMillan Halifax, Anita (Rick) Erickson, Banff, AB, Helen MacDonnell-Miller (Bernie Miller), Riverview, NB; and brothers, John MacDonnell (Sherri MacDonald), Halifax, NS and Philip MacDonnell (Carolyn Morey), Bateman's Bay, NSW, Australia. Visitation will be at the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow from 7 to 9pm Tuesday, February 4, 2003. Funeral will be celebrated at Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, New Glasgow at 11 am, Wednesday, February 5, 2003. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. Family flowers only.
