Obituary of Dorothy Mary Dempsey

Dorothy Mary Reid January 5, 1940 - April 10, 2015 The passing of Dorothy Mary Reid, of New Bandon, NB, wife of the late Frank Reid, occurred on April 10, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on January 5, 1940 in Sudbury, ON, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Frances (Hoddy) Dempsey. She was a member of McNamee Assembly and loved crosswords, knitting and reading. Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Barbara Colford (Francis) of Blissfield, NB, Kimberly Reid (Ron) of Moncton, NB, Loretta Reid (Kevin) of St. Stephen, NB and Sarah O’Donnell (Brent) of McNamee, NB; her sons, Charles “Chuck” Reid (Susan) of New Bandon, NB and Michael Reid (Andrea) of Fredericton, NB; 16 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; several brothers and sisters as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her infant son; her sister, Nancy Dempsey and her brother, Tom Dempsey. Although there will be no services at this time, A Graveside Service will be held at McNamee Pentecostal Cemetery, Porter Cove, NB at a later date with Rev. Allison Cromwell officiating.
