Obituary of David-Alfred Salter


SALTER, “Dave“ David Alfred - In loving memory of David Salter, 57 years of Sudbury who passed away Saturday at the SRH Laurentian site. Born in Stratford David had been a planner with the Ministry of Health & Ministry of Community & Social Services having 29 years service retiring in 2001. He was a member of the Anglican Faith. He was a well respected member of National Lodge #588 AF & AM. Dave actively participated in Masonic work and events serving in many leadership position with his lodge and the district. He was a member of the Sudbury Shrine Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing the guitar. He will be remembered as a determined & well organized person with a great sense of humour. Beloved father of Jeremy Salter of Toronto and Jessie Salter of Edmonton. Cherished son of Alfred and Bertha (Lloyd) Salter predeceased. Loving brother of Joseph Salter (wife Michelle) of Stratford, Jack Salter predeceased (wife Pat of Arthur) and Susan Salter predeceased. Dear uncle to Dan Salter (wife Elaine), Jeff Salter (wife Vera) and Tim Salter (wife Deb) all of Elora. Resting at the JACKSON & BARNARD FUNERAL HOME 233 Larch St., Sudbury. Funeral Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel Thursday, March 8th, 2007 at 11:30 AM. Cremation at the Parklawn Crematorium. A masonic service will be held 7 PM Wednesday under the auspices of the National Lodge #588 AF & AM. Donations to the Shriners Hospital for Children will be appreciated. (Friends may call 2-5; 7-9 PM Wednesday and after 10:30 AM Thursday).
