Obituary of Daniel-E. Connors


CONNORS, DANIEL EDWARD Daniel E. Connors of Cork passed away January 19, 2003 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. born in Cork in 1919, he was a son of the late John and Catherine (Donahue) Connors. Dan served in the Canadian Army during World War II including the Battle at Hawkwald Forest. He also worked for many years with Canadian Pacific Telecommunications. During the past four years Dan was a resident of the Veteran's Health Unit in Fredericton. His family would like to thank the staff of the Unit for their care and attention. He is survived by two sisters, Mary (Duane) Golden of Tracy and Lucille Kyle of Harvey; a brother, Joseph (Mildred) Connors of Cork; several nieces, nephews and two step-grandchildren. Dan was predeceased by his wife Louise, step-daughter Carol Moore and a brother-in-law, Tom Kyle. Resting at Swan Funeral Home, 1826 Highway 3, Harvey Station with visiting hours Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, Cork on Wednesday, January 22, 2003 at 10 a.m. by Rev. Mark Trzop. Interment will be later at Immaculate Conception Cemetery. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Dan, the family has suggested a charity of the donor's choice.
