BIDDEFORD - Claire Lillian Bergeron, 68, of Biddeford, died Monday, Aug. 1, 2005 at Southern Maine Medical Center after a brief illness.She was born in Biddeford, May 28, 1937, the daughter of Wilfrid and Jeanne Dubuc Grenier and was educated in Biddeford schools. Claire had been a cheerleader for St. Louis and Biddeford High Schools, where she made many lifelong friends. She attended St. Francis College where she took courses in Psychology. On Feb. 8, 1964, she married George Bergeron in Biddeford.Claire was a teacher's aid for the Biddeford school system and worked for many years at Pizza by Alex in Biddeford.She enjoyed watching movies, spoiling her grandsons, and traveling throughout the United States with her beloved husband, George. Las Vegas, California and Connecticut were among her favorite trips. Together with her husband, Claire enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox win the World Series. Carl Yastremski and Louis Tiant were among her all time favorite Red Sox players.She was a member of St. Andre's Church and the Daughters of Isabella.Claire was predeceased by her mother, Jeanne; her father, Wilfrid; and a sister, Lucille (Grenier) Pare.Surviving are her husband of nearly 42 years, George Bergeron of Biddeford; two daughters, Deborah Roberts and her husband Robert of Corona, Calif., and Pamela Jayne Bergeron of Chattanooga, Tenn.; a brother, Joseph Grenier of Saco; four grandsons, Matthew, David and Joshua of Corona, Calif., and Jonathan, serving as an officer in the US Air Force stationed in Kansas; and many nieces and nephewsThere will be no visiting hours. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Biddeford.
