OBITUARY CHARLES ELIE AMYOT January 15, 1914 - February 22, 2008 Charlie Amyot, beloved husband of Mildred Adam for sixty-two years, passed away at the Charles Lemoyne Hospital on February 22, 2008. Charlie was a dedicated teacher and French language consultant who served in various Quebec schools for thirty-four years. The last several years of his career were spent with the South Shore Protestant Regional School Board. He was awarded the Order of Scholastic Merit from Quebec. Charlie was loving father to John (Judie Grotsky), Jean (Stephen Humphreys), and Diane (Dave Guichon) and the cherished grandfather of Rob and Valerie Amyot, David and Michael Humphreys and Nicki, Davey and Tyler Guichon. He will also be sadly missed by his sister Jeanne Leger (Donald) and his many nieces and nephews. Charlie will be remembered for his kindness and patience with children, his love of reading and games and his affability. He was a familiar figure at the St. Lambert Golf Club where he was a member for over fifty years. The family wishes to express their appreciation for the care extended by the staff at Le Castel and Centre St. Lambert during Charlie's stay with them. A private celebration of his life will take place later this year. Donations, in his memory, may be made to the Charles Lemoyne Hospital Foundation, 450-466-5487.
