WEBSTER, Charles Mills 1921 - 2009 It is with great sadness we announce the death of Charles Mills Webster after a short illness on July 31st, 2009. Born in Spring Water Saskatchewan, Charles (Chuck to his friends/Mills to family) moved with his father and 3 siblings to Ottawa when he was about 13/14 years old. After finishing his schooling which coincided with the outbreak of WWII he joined the Navy serving aboard the Haida. He met and married his wife Jean (who predeceased him in 1999) and they eventually joined the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints: he thoroughly enjoyed the strong link of community and family this religion gave him. Uncle Mills was a doer and if anyone needed any help with anything he would do it - if he didn't know how initially, with a little research he would correct any problem that arose, for which his siblings were grateful. While they had no children themselves, Mills and Jean were wonderful as aunt and uncle to his little brother's 3 children and his younger sister's 2. He will be greatly missed by his surviving younger sister Isabel and all his nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Published in the Ottawa Citizen on 8/8/2009
