Obituary of Charles-Arthur Rafuse

RAFUSE, Charles Arthur In loving memory of Charles Arthur Rafuse, 81 years of RR#1 Monetville who passed away Sunday, December 25, 2005 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - Memorial Site. He was born in Windsor, N.S. and married Carolyn (Webster) in 1946 in Kentville, N.S. Charles came to the Sudbury area in 1948 moving to Val Caron in 1963 after retirement he moved to Monetville in 1985. A proud Canadian he had served overseas during WWII with the Royal Canadian Navy. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br# 640 French River. He had been a plateworker at the Copper Cliff Smelter having 34 1/2 years service at INCO retiring in 1984. He enjoyed golfing and he was an avid fisherman. In retirement he developed a popular bait business. Charles will be remembered as caring and well respected person who had a wonderful sense of humour. He was devoted to his loving family especially his precious wife with who he recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Beloved husband of Carolyn (Webster) Rafuse of RR#1 Monetville. Loving father of Shirley (husband Bill Speer) of Kitchener. Dear son of Clyde and Minnie (Gould) Rafuse predeceased. Loving brother of Seymour (wife Margit) of Lethbridge, Marguerite Wendell and Pauline Singer both of Halifax, N.S., Dorothy Tucker of Windsor, N.S., Vivian Pike of Kentville, N.S. and Jessie Rafuse of P.E.I. and the late Gerald Clyde, Carl and Marjorie all predeceased. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Funeral Service in the Monetville Mennonite Church, Friday, December 30th, 2005 at 11 a.m. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Fund, Northeastern Ontario Regional Cancer Center, Monetville Mennonite Church or charity of your choice would be appreciated.
