JOHNSTON, Cecil Keith 1921 - 2007 Peacefully in hospital on Wednesday, August 1, 2007, Cecil Keith Johnston, of Curran, Ont., in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Elfriede Witting. Dear son of the late Charles Johnston and late Annie Wylie. Loving father of Muriel (Lambert Beaubien), Sheila Dudman, Lyla, Shawn (Mary Miller) and Eric. Grandfather of Shamus, Stacey, Neil, Kurt, Kate and great-grandfather of MacKenzie, Troy and Joshua. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother, Robert (Pearl Brown) and two sisters Jessie (Lawrence Wylie) and Pearl (Ernest Blaney). During WWII, Cecil served as flight-line mechanic at #10 E.F.T.S. in Pendleton, Ontario. He later served in the Canadian Army before a long career in the RCAF. He spent the remainder of his career at NRC in Ottawa. He was an accomplished carpenter and a talented step dancer. A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, August 12, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. at Pendleton United Church, Pendleton, Ont. Interment at Glenburn Cemetery, Pendleton, Ont. The family would like to extend an invitation to family and friends to meet them at the church before the service from 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ottawa Cancer Centre Foundation, 503 Smyth Road, Ottawa, Ont., K1H 1C4, would be appreciated.
