Obituary of Antonio-Umberto Nobile

NOBILE, Antonio Umberto It is with great sadness that the family of Antonio Nobile announce his passing at the Welland General Hospital on November 20th 2008 at the age of 76. Beloved husband of Maria (Marchio) Nobile, cherished father of Vincenzo, Nick (wife Emma) and Antonietta Anello (husband Domenic). Loving grandfather of Michele and Daniele Nobile. Dear brother of Angelo Raffaele Nobile, Franca Sdao (Francino) and Alba Adamo (Carmello), brother-in-law of the late Giuseppe Marchio (Rachela), Teresa Ambrosio (Eliseo), Filippo Marchio (Santa) and Giovanna Mete (late Filippo). Mr Nobile will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. He was pre deceased by his parents Vincenzo Nobile and Antonietta Bocchinfuso. Mr. Nobile was a very amicable person who enjoyed the company of his many friends and took great pleasure in making new ones. He was a member of the Order of the Son's of Italy, Casa Dante Lodge, St Anthony's Society, Knights of Columbus and was on the committee per la Festa della Madonna Assunta. Mr. Nobile worked for many years at the Wabasso Cotton Mill. Antonio was passionate about singing, and was a member of the Coro Focloristico of Niagara and St. Mary's Church Italian Choir, as well as being passionate of his Catholic faith. The family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME 827 East Main Street Welland on Saturday from 7 to 9pm and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. The funeral service will be held on Monday in St. Andrew the Apostle Church at 10:30 am. Entombment will follow in Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. A vigil for Antonio will be celebrated Saturday evening at 8pm.
