Anne M. Brennan, 97, of Mendon, died April 28, 2015 at her home with her family by her side, after a lengthy illness. She was born in Manchester, NH on September 18, 1917 the daughter of James and Georgianna (McKechnie) Heron. She grew up in Manchester and was educated in the local school system. She was employed for many years as a sales clerk at F.W. Woolworth Co. She relocated to Mendon, MA in the 1980s. Anne enjoyed reading and loved getting together with her family and friends. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and aunt. She was predeceased by her husband of many, many years Francis Brennan in 1975 and by her son James Brennan in February of 2010 along with her ten brothers and sisters.. Members of her family include her daughter Patricia Brown and her husband Robert of Mendon, her two granddaughters Kimberly Brown of Bellingham and Christy Harrison of San Antonio, TX, her two great-grandchildren Misty Brennan and James Brennan and her daughter-in-law Lynda Brennan all of Devine, TX as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins making her a great, great, great aunt. Visitation will be held on Friday May 1st from 4 to 7 pm at the McHugh Funeral Home 283 Hanover St. corner of Beech St. in Manchester, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday May 2 at 9:30 am in St. Anthony of Padua Church 172 Belmont St. in Manchester. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Bedford, NH.
