Obituary of Ann K. Regan

Ann K. (Maxted) Regan, age 72, of Braintree and South Yarmouth, formerly of Dorchester, died peacefully, Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at the South Shore Hospital, surrounded by her loving family and friends after a brief illness. She was born in Boston, raised and educated in Dorchester schools and was a graduate of the former Cardinal Cushing High School. She had lived in Braintree for forty years and was also a longtime summer resident of South Yarmouth, previously living in Dorchester. Ann was a homemaker and was especially devoted to her children and grandchildren, with whom she enjoyed spending time with. She also enjoyed the ocean and the beach, winters in Naples, FL and dancing. Ann had worked at Alfredos Restaurant in Quincy for many years. Beloved wife of the late James F. Regan. Devoted mother of Nancy Riley and her husband Paul of Whitman, William J. Regan and his wife Julie of Amesbury, Michael J. Regan of Dorchester, Michelle J. Riley and her husband Mark of Holbrook, the late James F. Regan, Jr. and his wife Nina of Braintree. Loving grandmother of Brittany, Kelli, William, Jennifer, Matthew and Mikey. Funeral from the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, Saturday, June 19, at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass in Saint John the Baptist Church, 44 School Street, Quincy at 10 oclock. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4 | 8 p.m. Interment Braintree Cemetery.
