Obituary of Andre-Joseph Raymond

RAYMOND, André Joseph In loving memory of André Joseph Raymond, 69 years, of Sudbury, who passed away Wednesday morning, June 26th, 2002 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - St. Joseph’s Health Centre. André was born and raised in Sturgeon Falls, in 1959, he married Pauline Lavigne in Field and they moved to Sudbury. He was an Equipment Operator with the City of Sudbury, retiring in 1991 after 32 years service. A devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather, who never complained and shared his great sense of humour with his family and many friends. A proud Canadian André served in the Korean War with the Canadian Army and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 76. An avid fisherman he also enjoyed camping. He will be missed by his canine friend Tiger. Beloved husband of Pauline (Lavigne) Raymond of Sudbury. Loving father of Denise (husband Len Belanger) of Sudbury, Marcel (wife Brenda) of Val Caron, Gisele (husband Paul Balicki) of Chelmsford, Lise (husband Barry Weller) of Chelmsford, and Denis (wife Carol) of Orleans. Dear grandfather of Sheri, Kevin, Diane, Kathleen, Jennifer, Scott, Brandon, Amber, Michael, Christopher and great grandchild Martin. Dear son of the late Auxilia (Dube) and Donoza Raymond both predeceased. Dear brother of the late Leo Raymond, Leona St. Jean, Rhea Kentala (husband Ken of Sudbury), Rene Raymond, George Raymond (wife Reina of Chelmsford), Jean Guy Raymond all predeceased and Gilberte Blais (husband Eugene) of Alban. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Resting at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St., at Hazel St. Funeral Mass in St. Mathieu’s Church, 1608 Pioneer Road, Sudbury, Saturday, June 29th, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. Cremation at the Parklawn Crematorium. A Memorial Service will be held 7:30 p.m. Friday under the auspices of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 76 Sudbury. Donations to the Heart & Soul Campaign would be appreciated.
