Obituary of Alcide-Arthur Tessier

TESSIER, Alcide Arthur - (1929-2008) - The family announces with sorrow his death in Sudbury Memorial Hospital, on Saturday, June 14th, 2008 at the age of 79 years. Son of the late Victor and of the late Lenore (née Bélanger) Tessier. Beloved husband of Thérèse Tessier (née Morin) of Sudbury. Loving father of Richard (Sandra MacAlister) of Calendar and Guy (Heather Eles) of Sudbury. Cherished grandfather of Jason, Céline and Jaime. Proud great- grandfather of Kayla, Owen and Brode. Dear brother of Roger (Anita), Aurèle (Betty) and Gérald (Claire). Predeceased by his brothers and sisters Hector (Gabrielle), Simone Sammon (Lindsay), Aurore Tessier, Raymond (Catherine Sylvester), Fernand and Émile. He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. His glory was driving his big “rig“ for over thirty years. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing. At Alcide's request, there will be no visitation. The family will receive relatives and friends for a mass of Christian burial to be celebrated Saturday, July 05th, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. in St-Jean-de-Brébeuf Church, Sudbury.
