Obituary of Albina Ainsley


Funeral services for pioneer Mattice and later Hearst resident Albina (née Ainsley) Trudel, 95, of the Foyer des Pionniers Nursing Home are to be held this morning (Aug. 27, 2003). She died Aug. 24 at the Foyer. Born April 14, 1908 in Thetford Mines, Quebec, she came to Mattice in 1924 and moved to Hearst in 1941. A member of the Hearst Filles d'Isabelle, she was a homemaker. She was predeceased by her husband Louis-Philippe Trudel of Hearst in 1959, son Robert in 1967 and Raoul in 1999, both of Hearst, and daughters Annette Labrosse of Kapuskasing in 1996, Alice Nice of Prescott in 2001, and three brothers and two sisters. She leaves her daughters Lucille (Jean-Paul) Lecours and Denise (Gaétan Lamontagne) Christianson, all of Hearst, Colette (John) Wrinn of Holland Landing, and Pierrette (Florent) Martel of Wainfleet, and a son Tom (Julienne) Trudel of Hearst. Also surviving are 24 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter. Rev. Rémi Lessard is to direct the 10:30 a.m. service at Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption Cathedral. Interment is to follow at the Monsignor Grenier Cemetery.
