BROWN, Winnifred - It is with profound sadness that we announce Winnie's passing on Oct. 21, 2007 at the age of 88 at the Maxville Manor. She passed away very peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of Patrick and Mary (O'Hare) Halloran. Dear mother of sons Leonard (Sandra deceased) Sydney, NS.; John (Nancy) Orleans, ON; daughters Eileen (Bill) MacGillis Lochiel, ON; Janie (Ronald) Bennett Havre Boucher, NS; Patricia (Ray) Luskville, QC; Nancy (Innis) MacPhail, St. Albert, AL. Loving grandmother of 24 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great, great granddaughter. She was predeceased by husband Sidney and son Sidney Jr.; brothers Patrick and Leo; sisters Kaye, Marcella, Ada and Faye. Relatives and friends may call at the MUNRO & MORRIS FUNERAL HOMES LTD., 114 Main St. South Alexandria (613-525-2772) on Wednesday, October 24, 2007 from 7-9 pm and on Thursday from 9:30 am until 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Finnan's Cathedral on Thursday, October 25, 2007 at 11 am. Cremation will follow. Sincere thanks to the staff of the Maxville Manor for the fantastic care of their mother of the last six years and to the family during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Maxville Manor or the Alzheimer's Society. As a Memorial to Winnifred a tree will planted in Memory Woods. A tree grows- memories live.
