William P. Graves June 5, 2010 William P. Graves, 65, of North Syracuse, died Saturday in Rochester. He was born in Syracuse and was a Vietnam Era Navy veteran. Mr. Graves was a manager for several enterprises, including Arby's, Ames Department Store Warehouse and Roller Rinks in DeWitt and Baldwinsville. He was a part of the family of Trinity Evangelical Presbyterian Church. An avid hunter and fisherman, he loved to camp at Tagasoke Campgrounds. He was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Beverly. Surviving are his wife of 34 years, the former Linda D. Oliver; six children, Patricia (Tony) Miller-French, Christine (Jerry) Graves-Boice, Rena (Charles) Jones, Charles Graves, Kari Graves and Aline Graves; a brother, Charles (Betty) Graves; a sister, Jeannie (Charles) Brown; 10 grandsons; two granddaughters; several nieces and nephews; and many in-laws. Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at Fergerson Funeral Home, with calling hours preceding services, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the funeral home, 215 South Main Street, North Syracuse. Contributions may be made to Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Foundation or to the American Diabetes Association. Fresh flowers from your personal garden would be very welcome.
