William "Bill" O'Donnell died peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 25th at the age of 82. Born and raised in Bronx, N.Y., he had lived the last 4 years of his life in Manchester, N.H. and Margate, Florida. Graduating from Cornell University in 1952, he finished Fordham Law School in 1956; owning his own law firm and practicing law for almost 50 years in Manhattan, N.Y., was one of his many achievements. He was a "Proud Marine," a loving father and lifelong "diehard" New York Giants fan.He lived a full, exciting and fun-filled life...chock full of trials (literally...being a lawyer) and tribulations (having raised 5 "headstrong" Irish children)...Dad lived life with a few "Irish beliefs"... 1) Steaks should be eaten "rare"; 2) Skirts should be worn "short"; 3) Politicians should all be "Democrats"; and last...but definitely not least...martinis should be consumed dry!!! R.I.P. Pop....Thanks for the "Memories" and "The Lessons of Life"...You were "The Greatest!"He is survived by five children, John "Johnny" O'Donnell of Manchester, NH; Attorney Thomas O'Donnell (Kathleen) of Garden City, NY; Attorney Bill O'Donnell Jr. (Mary) of Croton-On-Hudson, NY; Attorney Patricia O'Donnell (James Wright) of Montauk, NY; Mary Gavin (Brian) of Massapequa, NY; a stepson, Thomas Kresley (Nicole) of Chapel Hill, NC and his wife of 4 years, Marie O'Donnell of Manchester, NH; 11 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Francis "Frankie" O'Donnell of Bedford, NH. Burial will be "At Sea" off Montauk, NY.(FAMILY NOTICE)
