CARLISLE - William James "Bus" Sexton, 81, husband of Theresa Sexton, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2014 at UK Hospital after a long illness. He was born October 24, 1932 to the late Roy Sexton and Opal Sexton Hamilton. He was a member of the Carlisle Baptist Church and a member of Daughtery Lodge 365 F&AM. He was retired from Roadway after 30 years. He was also a veteran of The United States Air Force during the Korean War. Also surviving, a daughter, Kay (Gary) Ralls of Mt. Sterling; a step-son, Brian (Nicki) Austin, Blairsville, Georgia; three grandchildren, Chad Ralls, Jamie (Josh) Philpot, Christina (Shawn) Willoughby; a step-grandson, Dr. Wesley (Dr. Kate) Austin, Washington D.C.; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Ronnie (Janice) Sexton, Doug (Missy) Sexton, Jack Sexton, all of Carlisle; five sisters, Nancy Bussell, Emma Williams, Betty (Thrashley) Markland, Patricia ( Donald) Markland and Judy ( Harry ) Harp. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Thursday, February 26, 2014 at the Carlisle Baptist Church with Bro. Micah Spicer and Bro. Steve Smith officiating with burial following in the Carlisle Cemetery. Visitation 6-9pm Wednesday at the church. Pallbearers are: Ricky Bussell, Troy Bussell, Don Jr., Patrick Markland, Thrashly Markland, Jr., Jeffrey Arnold, Preston Sexton, Ray Phillips. Honorary bearers are: Tammy Phillips, Ronda Hunt, Connie Hinton, Regina Purvis, Tonya Overstreet, Nicole Jones, Farrah Sexton, Josh Philpot, Jack Lenz and Russanna Taylor. Carlisle-Clark Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
