EngraverMERIDEN, Conn. -- Mr. William T. Hanlon of Meriden, Conn., and formerly of Nalcrest, died of pneumonia Saturday (Oct. 30, 2004) at Midstate Medical Center. He was 98.Born Dec. 2, 1905, in Wallingford, Conn., he moved to Meriden from Nalcrest, five years ago. He worked as a chaser and engraver for International Silver Co. and also for companies in Rhode Island and New York in his early years. He moved with his wife to Florida in the early 1940s, leaving employment at the New Departure as a gauge man. He was last employed by the state of Florida as cottage supervisor of a boys' school for 10 years. He was a a graduate of St. Rose School. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.Mr. Hanlon was preceded in death by his wife, Anna J. Hanlon.. He is survived by a sister, Helen Fischer of Connecticut, and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.Graveside services will be at 11 this morning at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
